Bath by Candlelight

This should give you an idea how I've been spending my time. I also got my teeth cleaned this morning, then came home and cleaned the apartment a bit. And took fun photos of stormtroopers.

Jack vs. Spike

Jack Bauer, that is. I wanted to blog directly from flickr to [info]themalcontents, but it works only with my main journal and I don't want to create another LJ account and move The Malcontents there. Posting in LJ is a pain when the photos are in flickr. This would be so much easier. And given I'm not sure how many people are actually looking at The Malcontents, maybe I'll go back to posting occasional action figure pics here.

Spam and Action Figures

Stargate
I just pre-ordered these wonderful Stargate: Atlantis action figures. And Wizard  \says there will be 6 inch Battlestar Galactica figures coming, the current series: Six, the Chief, and Apollo. I'm jazzed. Can we say photo ops?

Meanwhile, here's the next batch of spammer names.

M&Ms Oops
A reminder that the action figure action is over on [info]themalcontents. I've got photos up with new figures (yes, Mal is making plenty of new friends) and one nice one with Mal and Spike in the morning. I actually laugh every time I look at the picture of Mal in his bathrobe. And yes, I know I'm a bit deranged. Being silly is loads of fun and relieves the stress of a work week from hell.

Today, I managed to disconnect the reference desk PC and desklamp when my foot kicked the power strip/surge protector under the desk. Oops. Given we had almost no staff working today and things were hectic, I think I can be forgiven my faux pas. It was just the perfect end (it happened a half hour til closing) to the week, or would be if I didn't have to work tomorrow. Which I do.

I'm trying to write a script for an action figure graphic novel. Any ideas or suggestions re: plot? Anyone want to contribute? As a round robin perhaps. Or as people trying to give me impossible photos to take.

I need a vacation. I need one desperately. I don't get one til November. *sigh*

Mal's Got Some New Friends

X Prize
Got my Col. Jack O'Neill and Dr. Daniel Jackson action figures yesterday. I hated having to wait, given the original release date was the end of May. They make their debut over at [info]themalcontents. I wish Jack's cap came off. Daniel has a hat, but I couldn't get it to stay on long enough for a photo.

Yes, that's Gen. Jack O'Neill! I haven't seen anyone with a Daniel Jackson yet, or the other Jack figures, but I'm thrilled to have this. I just wish we didn't have to wait til next year for Atlantis figures.
