An interesting discussion is underway at leapin_jot re: "celebrating" the books on the Banned Books list. It stemmed from lnlisa's entry expressing views I hadn't thought of before that get to the very nature of the books on the list. My comments pretty much sum up my feelings. I don't see that the books are being celebrated. It's more a matter of publicizing what is being censored and to get people to read and judge for themselves the merits of a book and to not let others decide for them what they should be reading.
