"tell me about your favorite charity. If you were in charge of ten thousand dollars meant for a charitable organization, which one would you give it to? Why do you especially like that charity? Do you have any reservations about it?"

I like to spread my donations around. Cancer research would get some because my mother died of cancer, as did her mother and my father's mother. So would organizations that serve people nationally and/or globally, such as the International Red Cross, the United Way, Amnesty International, Doctors without Borders.

But mostly, I'd donate the bulk to Greenpeace and the Sierra Club, with a bit for the World Wildlife Fund. I'm a member of the first two, have been a member of the third, along with Amnesty International, when I have the extra money for the memberships. I believe in the need to protect our global econsystem. Nothing else will matter if we make Earth uninhabitable or lose valuable resources.

Working on one of my spy stories, as it's my turn/scene. Will work on the to-be-renamed novel later, so if you haven't voted for your fav title yet in the poll, please do. Thanks. I might have a run-off vote. Will see.
