I'm at 176 of 195. It's been fun to make icons again and know I can actually use them. I really hate deleting to make room for new ones. I'd pared down my icons to the ones i couldn't bear not having available, and it was still 150 or so.

So, I have a userpic (I can never decide if I should use the official "userpic" name or the popular "icon") now for plotting. I still need one for discussions about characters and character development. An appropriate image has yet to come to me.

All of which means I'm hoping to be back to revising and writing in the new year, and posting about it. Well, that is the plan.

The next International Talk Like a Pirate Day isn't until September, but I've been meaning to make a pirate icon for myself, and got carried away as usual. Here are some for the taking. Just let me know which if any you take. Credit is nice, but not necessary. These were made from my photos.

I think I need an icon/userpic depicting my joy in all things broadband internet. Two f'in days without it and me, off from work for those two days! Argh. Still feeling sickish, couldn't concentrate to work on the WIR, so I rediscovered my addiction for FreeCell. Let me tell you, I was never so eager to return to work with its T3 line (although, sometimes, internet is down there, too).

I've skimmed through my FL, didn't comment much. Two days of posts, even with a major holiday, do add up.

Oh, I made some icons, too. And now I've uploaded them, plus some old ones I'd taken off because I was running out of room. I'm at 172/195 now. When can I have 200, please? :)

I'm back in an icon making state of mind, now that I have room for more. I made a few extras, in case anyone is interested.

Feel like crap (recovering from colitis brought on by an infection), so am making icons.

I just deleted icons. It was more painful than killing my darlings in revision. I now have 133 of 140. Room for 7 news ones. Plus, I refreshed "Chocoliciousness" and perked up a couple of others, then added "Patricia the Wise" to my userpics. Which means I have room for the 3 I want to still do and still have room for more. Icons: They're addictive!

Made some icons because I've mostly felt like crap so far this weekend. Sore throat for first time in years. feh.

I got sick of the color scheme around here. Finally. So I made a new header and used colors from it in the overall design. I mostly like the look. I don't feel like changing the layout right now and this layout allows html boxes in the sidebar which is cool. I'm not sure how long til I get sick of these colors, but this will do for a few months, I think. And I made a new icon, too, as you can see here.

I made a few icons for myself and even one for a post about icons, used here now. I now have room left for 4 more, unless I remove some of the older ones. Ack. It's an addiction. Writing has resumed on the spy stories and revision resumes tomorrow or the weekend on the WIR. I still need to clean the mess of papers around my desk and computer.

Meanwhile, I'm on Twitter, as ShellyS, and I discovered that David Hewlett of Stargate: Atlantis, is also a Twitter-er. How cool is that? I loved tonight's episode. Great cliffhanger. And Stargate: SG-1 ended on a nice note.

Made more icons. They're over on impish_writers. At this rate, I might have to remove some of the ones I added back. They aren't my best, but I added them out of sentimental attachment to them. I did redo 2 of the ones I had up, one old one and one new one.

I knew I wasn't going to get much done tonight with the 2 Stargates on, but at least I did something creative.

I just uploaded a few userpics I'd deleted because I was running out of space. Yay! And I added a few more, bringing me to 121 of 138. I think I need to slow down a bit or I'll use up the new ones before the week is out.

I feel like a kid in a candy store. ;)

No, not UNCLE, but I'm running out of clever titles for these things. These are made from Dover clipart. The backgrounds/textures are mine (from my photos and from gradients) except for the music score which I scanned from some sheet music. Number 12 is the original clipart if you want to try your own.

I had to do it. I had to make an icon for Heroes. It's the only new show this season, except for Dexter on Showtime, that has really hooked me. I had to delete an icon to make room for it! I need more icons!!! heh

Well, I've gone and done it. I uploaded the last of my alloted userpics and can't choose any to remove right now. *sigh* 109 came mighty fast, let me tell you.

Now I'm off to go lay out the next of the amateur press spy books jersey_lion and I publish, writing them with a couple of other friends. We don't have a lot of readers -- heck, I get thrilled when a book sells over 20, and the spy ones have serialized story elements -- but we do have readers which is very cool. We get to indulge our inner fanficcer with angst, hurt/comfort, gay and straight sex up to an R or maybe in some instances an X rating, and a fair amount of violence. We edit each other, we do art, and we have fun.

Now, if I could only translate this fun into a novel for pro publication, I'll have it made.

Feeling better than I've been, but still a bit antsy, short of breath when I move around too much. Stress test with radioactive dye in my near future, but my doctor still thinks it's stress and maybe hormonal changes due to perimenopause. Sure, why not? I blame that for most things these days.

The rest are here. And I've managed to upload to within one of my own limit. Sigh. Either some have to go, or I need to wait until I earn more after I pay for another year. *sigh*

And now I have to get to my doctor for yet another visit.

I suppose I might get a few more when I pay for next year of LJ come November, but for now, in order to put in more icons/userpics/whatever the hell folks want to call them, I've had to retire some. I dropped a few I love but wasn't using, so I can make and use icons with Mal and his friends, and maybe one or two for another of my comic book loves: Cole Cash, aka Grifter of the Wildstorm universe. I was so excited to get 100 when I paid for the account and extras, and now I'm over that with 103 and ever so grateful for the extras they're letting us have per time paid. These things are like cyber crack. Just can't have enough. I considered having a poll to see which ones folks liked the most, but figured that was unworkable.

I hate deleting icons. It feels like demoting someone you care about.
