Spam I Am

Mal Visits the Library
Took a while, but I got some spammer names to share. Some seem familiar, so I might've posted them before.  But I wanted to clear them out. I dunno if I'll bother posting these anymore. They aren't as much fun as they used to be. I wish the spammers would get more creative.

  • Choreographer J. Entombed
  • Pillorying O. Permuted
  • Territory H. Economist
  • Euffi Lemmon
  • Depravities P.Remission
  • Peivin Highfill
  • Preston R. Powers
  • Glenda U. Numbers

So I could have something to post.

Latest Spammer Names:
  • Denver McNeill
  • Dewey Painter
  • Booker Kline
  • Hilario Levine
  • Tamera Vann
  • Florian Puruka
  • Flossie Purvis
Haven't gotten back to the book yet. Been too busy. Got a bit obsessed with the work blog and spent most nights last week working on the template. And then there were all the photos to upload to flickr from a photoshoot with 2 flickr contacts.

I've been forced to skim my fl rather than read carefully, not because I fear spoilers for HP, but because I'm really not interested and 2 of every 3 entries on my Friends page the last few days have been about THE book. I might read them someday, or I might not. But I haven't been reading them and don't plan to anytime soon. I'm a slow reader and way behind on my reading as it is. HP was simply a bigger commitment than I felt ready to make and that's still true.

Devilishly Clever Devil Duckie
Figured I should just post these since I haven't found any others for a while that have entertained me. So, just a few spammer names of note:
  • Berry Dickey
  • Brigit Bobette
  • Ezekiel Murphy

Meanwhile, I'm on Twitter, as ShellyS, and I discovered that David Hewlett of Stargate: Atlantis, is also a Twitter-er. How cool is that? I loved tonight's episode. Great cliffhanger. And Stargate: SG-1 ended on a nice note.

Made more icons. They're over on [info]impish_writers. At this rate, I might have to remove some of the ones I added back. They aren't my best, but I added them out of sentimental attachment to them. I did redo 2 of the ones I had up, one old one and one new one.

I knew I wasn't going to get much done tonight with the 2 Stargates on, but at least I did something creative.

Spammers Bursting Out All Over

Another crop of spammer names, though some sound familiar.
  • Okla S. Dabble
  • Eslick E. Gage
  • Sakamoto T. Montalvoos
  • Pawlowicz V. Mayfield
  • Boas D. Coursers
  • Emory Benavides
  • Alverta Hawkins (I like the name Alverta!)
  • Demetrius Terry
  • Imogene C. Gravitate
Some of these sound like perfect villains in a show like Man from UNCLE. And I love the inclusion of middle initials. Makes me wonder what they could stand for, ie Boas Detritus Coursers. ;)

Spam and Action Figures

Stargate
I just pre-ordered these wonderful Stargate: Atlantis action figures. And Wizard  \says there will be 6 inch Battlestar Galactica figures coming, the current series: Six, the Chief, and Apollo. I'm jazzed. Can we say photo ops?

Meanwhile, here's the next batch of spammer names.
  • Amandeep Foskey
  • Border C. Engleman
  • Valet A. Forecastle
  • Bullard E. Shingleto
  • Trooper B. Robustest

And just so you know, I think Heroes rocked tonight. I was breathless when it ended.

New boss started today. I've known him for 25 years, and he's a good guy, so this should work out nicely.

Well, I Did It

  • Dec. 25th, 2006 at 4:53 PM
Shelly
After spending a half hour searching usernames for something I liked that was available (and that was harder than I'd thought), I found a name that worked for me. I wish I had a defining character I could've used that wouldn't sound like someone's actual name or a name for my fictional realm that wasn't so common as "Mars," but I don't. I wanted to keep it fairly short and not use an underscore. So, I did the deed and am now nycshelly. Everything, including friends, should have carried over. I hated paying to do this, but I feel such a weight lifted off my shoulders. Prestoimp is the mascot, so to speak, of the amateur press [info]jersey_lion and I share. It's not me. Finally, this LJ will feel like mine. I think I'll have to make a new, appropriate default icon. heh. Any excuse.

And to celebrate, some spammer names. For a while, I feared I would never get any more good ones, but the last couple of days brought a batch of goodies. Here are the most entertaining ones.
  • Feofilakt Sasser
  • Eckenrode S.Tollesonle
  • Amadeo Ocheltree
  • Wigwagged L. Matter

Spam and Vacation

  • Nov. 1st, 2006 at 11:52 PM
Moovelous
Spam names that caught my eye over the last few days:

  • Olga Crowder
  • Ahmed Hamm
  • Francka Gunder
  • Gwil Stalnaker
  • Harry Potty (made me giggle, at least)
  • Braelyn Galusha
  • Prong M. Maharaja

And now, the reason I'll probably never do NaNoWriMo: I'm headed out tomorrow to visit [info]jersey_lion and we'll be taking in Philadelphia Miniaturia over the weekend. Every first weekend in November, I lose 5 days on vacation visiting J and spending money, followed by more vacation during which I have my annual mammogram. I've added in an eye doctor appointment next week and I have to buy a gown to wear to my niece's bat mitzvah in December because my sister has made the party Black Tie. Which means my dressy, but shortish skirts won't cut it. Then, it's back to work. Not nearly enough time in November to write 50,000 words. I can do that, but it would take me probably 6 months of fairly steady writing.

But, for those of you participating this year, GOOD LUCK!

Meanwhile, it still feels odd working on the laptop. And I keep looking over to the PC, to the dead montior and now, to the empty space where the dead monitor once dwelled. Did get the outlet replaced today. It was a bit loose.

And since I was stuck in waiting for the maintenance guy to show up -- and he did come in the morning -- I continued with my sporadic decluttering project. Today I tossed some movie reference books that are hopelessly out of date. IMDB will suffice. So nice that so much of what I might need to look up in online now. Still, there are some old textbooks and beloved reference books I don't think I'll ever be able to part with,

Water for Spam

Into the Void
Coming up with titles is hard, especially for posts. I'd rather save my title energies for fiction. The water portion of this post refers to the lack of hot water at work and currently, the lack of cold water (and therefore lack of flushing toiets) at home. The spam portion refers to the latest batch of spam names.

  • Ermentraud Leland
  • McKayla Finklea
  • Aspen Budd
  • Drago Ducharme
  • Pedro Sheets

Nuclear stress test normal, so that's not the answer to my shortness of breath, feel like crap (or carp, as I typed over on Cyber Chocolate earlier before I caught the typo). Doctor guy thinks it's stress. Well, I sure do have stress, so maybe he's right.

Some Spammer Names

Vacuum the Cat
Just a few for now because I felt the need to actually post something here. I've iconed myself into oblivion, I've been feeling crappy (shortness of breath, queasiness, pounding heart despite a perfectly lovely pulse and equally delightful blood pressure readings), and I've been writing on my little spy series and wondering if I'm ever going to have the energy and the urge to get back to the Mars books. I keep pushing my start date for it back and back. I'm thinking January 2007 now. *sigh* Nuclear stress test next week is what's on my mind right now. My doctor thinks I'm suffering from a combination of stress, an IBS flare-up, and perimenopausal hormone craziness. I'm actually hoping he's right.

So, for now, I present this paltry collection of spammer names:
  • Sumayya Chappel
  • Arethusa Trivett
  • Macy Minta
